Design A Sneaker Outreach Project

Last June 27, 2015, my friend, Yen and I joined an outreach program that we truly enjoyed. Thanks to this event by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Philippines in partnership with Converse PH, we were able to make the kids in Mercy In Action happy. It was really a rewarding experience.

I had double breakfast that day because I didn't know that breakfast would be served upon meet ups with the organizers and the rest of volunteers  at CBTL, Ayala Terraces at around 7:30 AM. We then tried our shirts out and at first, the shirt they gave me was just too small for my body frame. Good thing, there was an extra big shirt. Thank God! Oh, their banana muffin tastes great!
We arrived at Mercy in Action around 10:30 AM and we had a short orientation of the place and the foundation. It is, I believe a British funded foundation. The British volunteer who oriented us looked quite young and on top of that, he was fluent in Cebuano. The above photo is actually from a game that we had. The members are cheering out their team name, Team Dragon.  I was able to capture this because, apparently, our team failed the preliminary round. Haha. But, it was still fun tho. :)

My Team! I forgot our team name. Haha.:)

My partner for the day! She is such a sweet young lady. I bet she'll grow up to be  modest, beautiful and elegant.

I love this photo of us. And I love how the shoes look good on the photo. Haha.
Here's Yen(w/ shades) and I wearing our Caring Cup Tee. I hope to join more of CBTL's outreach programs in the futures. *fingerscrossed*

The experience was really worth every second of our time. I may not be an artist but I believe the time the volunteers have shared was what made the children even happier. It is really heartwarming that established businesses like CBTL have this program of giving back to the community. I am very happy that I was part of their first outreach program in Cebu. Thank you Lord for this great experience!!! 😊
